We build software for all your creations.

The Aro Computer Company makes tools for people who like making things. We want to build software you get to know well, the kind you keep coming back to because it works the way you need it to.

A computer can be a wonderful thing to work with. You can try an idea, see what happens, and take it somewhere else entirely. We think software should leave room for that. You shouldn’t need to have the whole thing planned before you begin, or be afraid to change your mind halfway through.

We want our tools to look good and make sense when you use them. You should be able to tell what something does before you click it, and understand what happened afterwards. That sounds basic. It’s also where a lot of software becomes frustrating. Getting those details right is work we think is worth spending time on.

We build in the open because we want people to be able to look closely at our work. Read the code. Ask why something works the way it does. Change it to suit you. You might have a use for something that we never thought of, and we’d like to leave that possibility open.

If you use something we’ve made, tell us about it. We’d like to know what you’re making and how our software fits into it. If something is awkward or takes longer than it should, we want to hear about that too. It helps us decide what to work on next.
